New animated video for the song "Entre a máquina e a massa" (Between the machine and the crowd)" from the album Venturas e desventuras do engenhoso Cavalleiro do Lago (Ventures and misadventures of the ingenious Knight of the Lake, 2007).
Watch here.
I recorded this song in 2005 when I had not even planned the album Cavalleiro do Lago. At the time, I was recording Asilo Harkam with my brother Leandro.
I wrote the lyrics in November, 2000. The first word, "agônico" (in agony, suffering) came from the name of an instrumental music - that years later got a version with lyrics - of Zé Ramalho, that I like very much. The music for the verses came only when I recorded it in 2005.
Read the lyrics in Discography.

Rummaging in the trunk
Looking at my former notebook of lyrics, I found an old drawing of 2001 (a time when I was still trying to get on with the band Selvagens along with my brother) that was the first sketch of what one day would become the title of my first solo album, Venturas e desventuras do engenhoso Cavalleiro do Lago (Ventures and misadventures of the ingenious Knight of the Lake), released in 2007. I confess I had forgotten that the idea came from so long ago.
The title in the drawing translates as "the adventures of the knight of the Apocalypse against the terrible monster Syst". The "monster Syst" got out of the title, although some ideas used in its drawing have been used in the booklet of the album. Another detail is the bulldog that quotes the song "Quatro buldogues vigiando o portão" (Four bulldogs watching the gate) released on my album in partnership with my brother, Asilo Harkam para músicos insanos (Harkam Asylum for the musicaly insane), completed in 2006 but started in late 2001.
